We believe God created us with intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual capacities. With this holistic view in mind, Grace Treehouse’s curriculum is developed to nurture and cultivate every facet of the child’s being.
Spiritual Curriculum
Grace Treehouse’s spiritual curriculum is based on the Word of God. The purpose of Grace Treehouse’s spiritual curriculum is to develop a biblical perspective to establish a child’s understanding of how they view God, the world, and themselves through biblical characters, events, and themes. It also teaches the importance of serving those in our local community and overseas. Grace Treehouse will invest in each child’s understanding of individual and corporate worship.
Character Curriculum
Grace Treehouse’s character curriculum focuses on the character of each child through the implementation of Biblical Parenting Coaching practices. Grace Treehouse, in partnership with parents, aims to identify and nurture each child’s God-given strengths and build biblical character qualities that will help them overcome personal challenges. Throughout the year, essential biblical character qualities such as honor, obedience, kindness, attentiveness, responsiveness, cooperation, and etc. are taught and practiced as a group, with the goal of strengthening healthy social relationships and developing biblical interpersonal skills.
Academic Curriculum
No two children are the same. Grace Treehouse’s academic curriculum is uniquely tailored to each child based on the individual student’s needs using a combination of Standard, Reggiio, and Montessori approaches. It incorporates biblical foundations, going above and beyond state math, language, science and social standards, by including spiritual, missional, familial, and communal aspects. Our teachers will plan age-appropriate lessons and activities based on weekly and monthly themes catered to the children’s interests. Our program meets the goals and objectives stated in the New Jersey Department of Education’s Preschool Classroom Teaching Guidelines.
Extracurricular Curriculum
Each of us are wonderfully and fearfully made by God (Ps.147:4) and given unique talents and gifts with which we can glorify God. Grace Treehouse pays close attention to each child’s individuality and uniqueness while helping them to discover their God-given talents and passions by exposing them to a variety of extracurricular activities, such as Creative Dance, Art, Music, Theatre, Handicrafts, Physical Education and more.
